SECY Papers and Staff Requirements Memoranda Papers from the Office of the Secretary of the Commission known as SECY papers and NRC staff requirements memoranda (SRMs) are used by the NRC. They can implement Commission decisions; manage the NRC staff paper decision-making system; and they codify Commission decisions in memoranda directing NRC staff actions called staff requirements memoranda. Typically the NRC staff prepares SECY papers that the Office of the Secretary of the Commission sends to the Commission. Staff requirements memoranda are one means the Commission uses to direct the activities of the NRC staff. |
